5 New, High-Profile Developments in Atlanta

If you’ve been keeping an eye on new residential options around Metro Atlanta, here are several new projects to get excited about:

  1. Views at O4W

    Promising walkable access to Atlanta landmarks like the Ponce City market, The Fabulous Fox Theatre, and Piedmont Park, this row of contemporary townhomes is expected to bring excitement to the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood on Atlanta’s East Side, with construction beginning August 2017.

    Developer Foyer Urban is building a 27-unit community featuring 4-story townhouse units, each boasting modern lines and sunny roof decks. Units range from 1,790 to 1,862 square feet in size, with 2 bedrooms and a flex space that allows buyers to get creative with their customization options.

    The complex will have bike racks and up to 2-car garages.

  2. The Emerson

    Touted as the “architecture of tomorrow’s Atlanta,” this JPX Works mega-project adds a 21-story, 44-unit condo tower at the heart of Buckhead.

    Inspired by architecture icon Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater house and the poetry of Ralph Waldo Emerson, the structure is designed with cantilevered terraces, a “pinwheel” layout, and glass-walled units. It promises to be an eye-grabbing landmark in the Atlanta skyline upon its completion in 2018.

    Buyers can select from a range of 2- to 3-bedroom units, measuring an average of 2,200 square feet. They can also opt to purchase combined units. Penthouse suites measure 6,300 square feet.

    Residents will enjoy luxurious amenities such as a heated lap pool and an in-house Zen garden.

  3. Peachtree Hills Place

    This 20-acre complex in Buckhead is designed to become an ultra-upscale independent living community. Developer Isakson Living is laying out 85 condominium units along with 8 single-family residences in this fully equipped exclusive neighborhood. A second phase of construction is expected to add 116 more condos and 4 single-family homes.

    Buyers can expect their homes to have 10-foot-high ceilings, high-end appliances, and luxe master bathrooms. The neighborhood will feature a clubhouse, fitness and wellness centers, an English country-inspired garden, and various dining venues. The Peachtree Battle Shopping Center is within brief walking distance, providing an adequate venue for various shopping needs.

    Permanent staff is available for onsite assisted-living services.

  4. The Charles

    Developer Loudermilk Cos. and design firm Lord Aeck Sargent have joined forces to create one of the most elegant highrises in Atlanta’s most affluent neighborhood. With 57 premium condos on 18 levels, The Charles promises the “epitome of Buckhead living.”

    Named after Charles Loudermilk, one of the pillars of the village’s economic growth, the building offers convenient access to the area’s most prominent retail and dining destinations. Its namesake, the Charlie Loudermilk Park is located just across Peachtree Road.

    Set above 30,000 square feet of retail and parking space, the units measure 2,900 square feet on average. They will include amenities such as built-in outdoor grills, European-style kitchen cabinetry, and brand-name appliances and fixtures.

    Construction on this high-profile project began in July 2017.

  5. No2 Opus Place

    No2 Opus Place is the first tower to rise in the Opus Place megaproject master-planned by Richard Meier, famed designer of Atlanta’s High Museum of Art.

    Upon completion, this 53-story condo tower is set to become Atlanta’s second tallest residential building. It will feature 200 condo units (details yet to be announced) set in the heart of Midtown. All 53 floors will have floor-to-ceiling glass panes that offer breathtaking views of the Atlanta skyline from all directions.

    Construction for the mega-tower is slated for October 2017 and is due for completion in 2020.
