New Residential and Mixed-use Developments Rising in Midtown

Midtown Atlanta’s skyline is transforming. Cranes will dominate views for the foreseeable future, but will soon give way to new structures. This means more retail/restaurant spaces, more residential units, and more offices added to Midtown’s collection by 2020. Here are some of the most exciting residential and mixed-use developments coming to Midtown Atlanta real estate.

  1. 693 Peachtree Street

Located in the heart of Midtown, in 693 Peachtree Street shall rise a modern architectural marvel. 693 Peachtree Street will house 147 luxury apartment homes in 24 floors and an adjacent residential parking lot once finished. The project broke ground in September 2016 and is scheduled for completion in January 2018.

  2. Hanover Midtown

Covering a total area of approximately 406,000 square feet, Hanover Midtown is set to be one of the most spacious mixed-use developments in Midtown Atlanta. The project is a partnership between The Hanover Co. and The Loudermilk Companies; the former will oversee the residential units, while the latter will be in charge of Hanover Midtown’s office and retail spaces.

Hanover Midtown is planned to have a total of 342 apartments (198 one-bedrooms, 140 two-bedrooms, and four three-bedrooms) and about 44,000 square feet of Classic A office space and 11,000 square feet of ground floor retail spaces.

  3. AMLI Arts Center

Located at 1240 West Peachtree Street, the AMLI Arts Center will cut an imposing figure the skyline. It will stand at 25 floors, which will house 350 apartments. The project is expected to wrap up around late 2018.

  4. YOO on the Park

Situated at 207 13 Street, work is well under way to build YOO on the Park. It will have 25 floors and 245 residential units. Planned amenities and unit features include private balconies, designer kitchens, LED touch sensor lighting, contemporary bathrooms with complementing designer fixtures and oversized bathtubs, and a gas-powered central hot water system.

YOO on the Park will also have a fully equipped fitness center open 24/7, an outdoor exercise terrace (complete with Yoga and Crossfit stations), an outdoor summer kitchen, a saline pool with lounge, and a gaming theater, among other amenities. All in all, YOO on the Park is billed to be one of the most sought-after residences in Midtown.

  5. Spring Midtown

Located at the corner of 14th and Spring Streets, the Spring Midtown project, once finished, will become one of the tallest buildings in Midtown Atlanta since The Atlantic. Spring Midtown will feature 390 luxury apartments and at least 6,500 square feet of retail space. Most locals are excited about the “world-class” Whole Foods set to be located in Spring Midtown, however.

Spring Midtown is scheduled for completion sometime between late 2017 or early 2018. Meanwhile, the building’s Whole Foods component (which will feature a cooking school, a microbrewery, and a pub, among other things) is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2018.
